A walk along the Weston Shore Link

In recent years, a pathway has been installed that now links Weston Shore to Abbey Hill in Netley.  The starting point is the pathway that runs from the car park opposite Canberra Towers, along the shore and past the stream and then onto the Conkerfield until it reaches Abbey Hill near the Abbey and Netley Castle. It’s a beautiful walk and the following are some photos from it, starting at the entrance on the road that leads to Netley Castle.

A beautiful, highly recommended walk especially on a sunny day, there’s lots to see!

  1. I’ve done this walk a few times now a d carried on along the road to Victoria Country Park. It’s one of my favourite walks, although I start out in Bitterne so the whole journey to the country park and back is about twelve miles or so.
