We had a wonderful AGM in November with some new faces which were very welcome. This year, 2013, has been our best year yet for the Friends of Weston Shore and we spent a little time reviewing the year and what we have achieved.
Then it was looking forward to 2014 and beyond and our plan for what we want to do next. We have a plan of action for 2014 with some exciting new projects that we shall be working on. There will be more news about them in due course.
Our central aim of working to try and keep Weston Shore looking beautiful and free of litter remains the core focus of the group. We’re looking forward to another Pirate extravaganza in 2014 with our friends at Groundworks Solent and informally organising some walks along Weston Shore and other activities to enjoy our beautiful beach.
We’re also hoping to learn more about the wildlife that can be found on Weston Shore and want to share this with everyone. So stay in touch!
Our next meeting is on Thursday 30th January 2014 at 7pm at the Woolston Community Centre, Church Road, Woolston, Southampton. Please get in touch if you would like to come along or turn up at the meeting!
The Friends of Weston Shore would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
