Spring Clean Up on Weston Shore

On a rather lovely spring morning recently the Friends of Weston Shore were in action clearing up litter.

The shore has been looking cleaner these past few years but there was still plenty to do.

During the day out, we were joined by a group of student film makers from Solent University.  They had asked to create a film about our litter pick, the Friends of Weston Shore and the shore generally and we were delighted to have their company.  They even bravely joined in!

We worked on the area around the Rolling Mills and after a few hours managed to clear up quite a lot of rubbish, including an old rugby ball someone had left.  A great day out and we are now really looking forward to the big clean up on Weston Shore on Sunday 4th August 2013.
