BIG BEACH CLEAN UP – WESTON SHORE, SOUTHAMPTON
SUNDAY 28th AUGUST 2011 11am to 2pm
There’s another chance to get involved with cleaning up beautiful Weston Shore in Southampton on Sunday 28th August. It’s a great chance to take action about an environmental issue that’s easy to get grips with – litter!
The beach clean up is from 11am to 2pm on the day – please come along at any time during that period. The starting point is the next to the Pitch and Putt course. Weston Shore is now a Green Flag park so let’s make it even better. People taking part should bring along gloves and wear sensible shoes to protect themselves while taking part in the litter pick.
We are looking forward to seeing lots of people as usual and let’s hope for some good weather. It doesn’t take long to give the place a good clean and the beach looks wonderful afterwards. For more information please contact the Friends of Weston Shore at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Big Beach Beach Clean Up is run by Friends of Weston Shore, a local community group with support from Southampton City Council.
